Found some happy fellows in my PG and we decided to go for a holy trip! We are well off with the generation next hang outs in city center and places like that but not to forget we are cultural :-P So we four girls from different ethnicities hit the road to Dakshineshwar.
Walking towards the bus depot, we got stuck with two cute lil’ distractions – sons of a bitch. Hey, I meant puppies (come on J).

We were already late for the trip but could not stop taking some snaps of those two. We moved ahead, my friend saw one bus going towards the temple but I advised against getting on that bus ‘cos I thought that it was coming from the temple. After reaching the depot we sat on the same bus which went in the same direction :-p.
The journey started and all of us dozed off. When I opened my eyes it was almost dark outside. It took such a long time to reach the place. Finally we reached. I was leading the team because they were new here. Asked the road people for directions and moved accordingly. I stopped at the board where Dakhshineshwar was written in huge bold letters. Eureka! Found it!
Before entering I told them to stand beside the gate for a click. Walking toward the place, the girls were asking me why that place has only one temple ‘cos there was supposed to be many. On top of that I was hearing railway announcements. I stopped and asked a woman, “Isn’t this the temple?”. The man next to her replied, “No, this is a metro station."

(I am so bustedL). Instantly our girl from south told us to follow her. She actually knew the way. About turn and left-right (lol). We took a turn and went to the actual temple J
Could not roam about much because the temple was about to close. After a lot of pulling and shoving in the queue, we managed to see Kali Ma and I also tied a string of hope on the railing near the Shiva temple.
Moving on we planned to go for a boat ride to Belur math. They all hopped on the ferry except me. I was still standing on the deck with legs shaking. Man I am such a freak :-p. Told the boat guy to hold both of my hands and then I stepped in (phew!). Throughout the ride we had a jolly time taking snaps, rolling over the boat and trying not to fall off hehe!

It took 15 minutes to reach belur. Again I freaked out while stepping out. One guy held one hand of mine; still I was looking for another. My friend raised her hand but I refused. Waving my free hand to another guy, “you please hold my hand?!” Got down safelyJ
Belur was totally different from Dakshineshwar. It’s calm and clean! We were not allowed to take snaps but the place was so overwhelming our hands itched to take photographs. Sadly we could not. Looking around here and there we were directed towards the inside of the monastery where Lord Ramakrishna resides. We were not allowed to make any sound while we entered. Everybody was meditating. I also thought of meditating so we sat along with the crowd. I closed my eyes and started praying. Everyone was so quiet that I could only hear them breathe. But someone was snoring lols! Man, he could not find any other place? I controlled my laughter and quickly went out of that place.
We travelled around and started moving towards the other side of the edifice. Again we weren’t allowed to go there. I saw a big car nearing towards us. I and my friend kept on looking for the VIP inside the car but all we could see was an orange cap on the front seat besides the driver. Was he invisible?:-O. "Arrey where is the man?", my other friend replied, "look outside the car he has stepped out." :-P :-P
We were through with the sightseeing and so it was a wrap for the day. Time to go home! I was thinking that this would be a holy trip but it ended up to be a funny one! God, do forgive us if we went wrong somewhere would ya?!!!
